From September 17 to 19 the EASY-RES consortium gathered for a second Project Team Meeting in Passau, Germany. The University Passau as one of eleven EASY-RES partners hosted the event successfully. Here, the partners came together to present their first achievements and milestones as well as to vividly discuss challenges they encountered since the project’s inception in March 2018. On the third day of the meeting, the team visited two EASY-RES partners on site. At Stadtwerke Landau an der Isar the attendees gained deeper insights into the management of the power grid and FENECON GmbH presented their battery management systems. The next EASY-RES Project Team Meeting will take place in March 2019, which will coincide with EASY-RES first anniversary.
The EASY-RES team is working on novel control algorithms and innovative Ancillary Services to reshape the European energy grid. All partners stay committed to further promote the ambitious vision of EASY-RES: paving the way for a more sustainable European power system which can deliver energy from up to 100% renewable energy sources.
